The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Shannon Gilliam, a man with a violent history of domestic abuse who is now wanted for yet another brutal attack.

Gilliam, who has eight prior arrests and three convictions for domestic abuse battery, is currently wanted in connection with an incident that occurred on March 19, at a local casino located at 451 Clyde Fant
Parkway.

According to investigators, the female victim was at work at the casino when Gilliam grabbed her by the hair and struck her multiple times in the face. The victim attempted to clean the blood from her face in the restroom before continuing her shift. As she was leaving work, Gilliam struck her four more times in the mouth, causing further injury and bleeding.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the casino, which confirmed the victim’s account of the assault.

Shannon Gilliam’s continued pattern of violence presents a serious threat to the safety of others, and SPD is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
