Danny Levy’s free shopping spree has come to an end. The notorious porch pirate, who had been swiping packages off doorsteps like he had Amazon Prime for life, is now behind bars.

Levy was recognized by an off-duty Shreveport Police officer, who wasted no time calling in on-duty personnel to put the brakes on his delivery-day heists. Investigators say Levy, lacking both a getaway car and apparently common decency, used public transportation to hop from neighborhood to neighborhood, helping himself to other people’s orders.

Thanks to Shreveport  Police alert and engaged community, who shared images of this package-plundering prowler, officers were able to track him down.

This just goes to show that social media isn’t just for memes and conspiracy theories—it actually helps catch criminals.

Levy, a repeat offender with multiple past theft convictions, now faces four counts of felony theft.
