SPD Violent Crimes detectives assisted federal agents on Jan. 30 in locating Larry Lewis, who was wanted on a federal warrant. Lewis barricaded himself inside a garage at 2619 Fulton St, ignoring multiple commands to surrender.
After repeated warnings, K-9 Karo was deployed and quickly located Lewis hiding under a pile of debris. He was safely taken into custody, and Shreveport Fire provided medical aid for minor injuries.
SPD expressed gratitude and pride in their officers and K-9 Karo for helping keep the community safe.
