Kendrick Law, the former Captain Shreve football and track standout who was highly recruited nationally before he played three seasons at Alabama, has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal.

He announced the move in a social media post Monday. Law, who finished his junior season at Alabama this year, has one season of eligibility left.

Law had 33 catches for 343 yards and one touchdown in three seasons with the Crimson Tide.

This season, he had 10 catches for 105 yards including a 22-yard reception against Western Kentucky.

Following a dynamic career at Captain Shreve, Law was rated as the No. 86 player overall in the 2022 class and the No. 3 athlete in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

“Putting on the Crimson and White has been an honor,” he wrote, thanking former coach Nick Saban, current coach Kalen DeBoer and football staff members. “I’m so grateful for all that you poured into making me a better player and person.”

Alabama went 33-7 in Law’s three seasons, losing in the 2023 College Football Playoff semifinals to eventual national champion Michigan.

Law’s statement concluded, “As I take the next step towards the future and enter the transfer portal, I do so with immense gratitude to the entire Alabama fan base for all of the support you’ve given me.”
