National tour of ‘Remembering Our Post 9/11 Fallen’ comes to Bossier City

The national tour of the traveling exhibit “The National Iraq – Afghanistan Memorial – Remembering Our Fallen” arrived in Bossier City on Friday, Nov. 1. The exhibit will be in the city until Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Mayor Tommy Chandler sent his greetings to the veterans of the Memorial as he provided a Proclamation and thanked them for their service. Proclamations were also given by The City of Shreveport and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office. Local Performer and Air Force Veteran Betty Lewis sang The National Anthem.

The exhibit is a photographic war memorial with over 5,000 Fallen that honors our country’s military Fallen from The Global War on Terror (9/11/2001 – 8/30/2021). Unlike brick and mortar memorials, “Remembering Our Fallen” is designed to travel and includes military and personal photos.  Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken, while helping to lessen the grief of their families.
