Nine schools were in the spotlight recently for earning the prestigious Purple Star designation this school year, bringing the total in Bossier Parish to an impressive 25. This achievement makes Bossier Schools the district with the most Purple Star Schools in Louisiana.
Recognized at the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) meeting in Baton Rouge, these schools have shown exceptional commitment to serving children of military families. Our goal is to become a fully recognized Purple Star School District, and we are well on our way.
Congratulations to our newest Purple Star Schools: Bellaire Elementary, Elm Grove Elementary, R.V. Kerr Elementary, Princeton Elementary, T.L. Rodes Elementary, Waller Elementary, Greenacres Middle School, Haughton Middle School and Benton High School.
