Caddo Fire District 4 responded to a fire at the Woolworth Road Landfill on Woolworth Road on Aug. 12 around 10:30 am. A Parish of Caddo Public Works truck caught fire due to a mechanical issue, igniting a blaze in the rear of the truck underneath a large dumpster. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire upon arrival. Caddo DPW supported the effort by using heavy equipment to move the dumpster contents to a paved area, ensuring the fire was fully out. No injuries occurred during the event.
