Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington recently administered the Oath of Affirmation in a swearing-in ceremony for a new deputy and welcomed a new corrections officer who are joining the Bossier Sheriff’s Office team. 

The swearing-in ceremony for new Deputy Hector Espino was held in the Sheriff’s Conference Room in the Bossier Parish Courthouse on July 25. Sheriff Whittington told the new deputy, “I commend you for committing yourself to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and wish you luck in your new position.” 

Sheriff Whittington also welcomed new corrections officer Bobby Trichel to the team. 

Espino and Trichel will begin their new careers at one of the BSO correctional facilities.

To apply to be a deputy, applicants must be 21 years of age. However, the Bossier Sheriff’s Office does offer a corrections officer position that requires the applicant to be 18 years of age.
