The Caddo Sheriff’s Marine Unit recovered a body from Wallace Lake on May 10, said Sheriff Jay Long. Patrol deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of Cypress Garden Road to check the welfare of an elderly neighbor who had not been seen for a few days. Sgt. Chad Davis located an empty canoe in the lake and later discovered a body approximately 150 yards from the shoreline. There has been no identification of the deceased, but no foul play is suspected. CPSO is currently investigating.
