The White Oak Ditch Improvement Project is receiving a significant upgrade in the Dogwood South neighborhood.
Bossier Parish Police Jury Assistant Engineer Matt Redmon said the project, which began in mid-March, aims to alleviate some of the drainage complaints received from residents in the neighborhood.
The proposed cost of the project is slightly over $1 million. A vital component of the project is replacing the current metal culverts underneath the road with more resilient ones, improving water flow. The project is set to last 120 days, with 45 dedicated to closing Dogwood South Lane. To get home, residents on the east side of White Oak Ditch will need to use Tall Pines Road or Dogwood Trail, off Bellevue Road.
