Monday, April 1 marked a milestone for the Shreveport Police Department as Chief Wayne Smith, accompanied by Mayor Tom Arceneaux, proudly announced the promotion of 15 deserving officers. This ceremony, the largest in recent memory, saw the elevation of dedicated individuals to higher ranks, reflecting their commitment to service and excellence.
Among the promotions were the appointment of two new assistant chiefs, the advancement of three captains and four Lieutenants, and the promotion of six sergeants.
