Shreveport OMV relocating to Financial Plaza

The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) has announced its move to a new location at Financial Plaza, signaling a significant development for Shreveport residents. Scheduled to open its doors on Monday, March 11, at 8 a.m., the relocation aims to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.

Situated conveniently near I-20 and Pines Road, the new office at 6005 Financial Plaza promises improved efficiency for OMV staff and better accessibility for customers. The decision to relocate underscores the OMV’s commitment to providing quality service to the community.

Services offered at the new location will mirror those available at the previous Normandie Drive office, including CDL testing, driver’s license and ID card issuance, REAL ID services, reinstatement of driving privileges, and vehicle registration.

To facilitate the move, the current OMV Shreveport field office will be closed on Thursday, March 7, and Friday, March 8. During this time, staff and equipment will be transitioned to the new location. Customers are encouraged to schedule appointments at the new field office through the official website, www.expresslane.org. Additionally, they are advised to check the status of their driver’s license online before their visit.

A grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting will follow the office’s opening at 10 a.m. on March 11, marking a milestone for the OMV and the Shreveport community.
