Webster Parish man arrested for first degree rape of victim under 13

Lance Kelly Soles, a 41-year-old resident of Doyline in Webster Parish, has been apprehended by Bossier Sheriff’s detectives on charges of first-degree rape involving a victim under the age of 13. This arrest follows a comprehensive investigation initiated in August of 2023, culminating in Soles’ detention on February 12th.

The distressing incident, dating back to 2018, came to light during an interview conducted at the Gingerbread House, a child advocacy center. The juvenile victim bravely shared crucial details of the crime allegedly perpetrated by Soles at a residence in Haughton. Shockingly, this transpired subsequent to Soles’ release from the Bossier Maximum-Security Facility, where he was registered as a sex offender.

Upon gathering substantial evidence, detectives procured a warrant for Soles’ arrest. He has since been incarcerated at the Bossier Maximum Facility, facing one count of first-degree rape of a victim under 13. The severity of the charge is reflected in the imposing bond amount set at $1,000,000.00.

This arrest underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to safeguard vulnerable members of the community and bring perpetrators of heinous crimes to justice. The Bossier Sheriff’s Office assures the public that thorough investigations will continue to be conducted to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
