The Bossier Sheriff’s Office is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of the community by conducting a sobriety checkpoint this Saturday evening, starting at 8:00 p.m. and continuing into early Sunday morning at an undisclosed location in Bossier Parish.
The primary objective of this checkpoint is to identify and remove impaired drivers from the road, aiming to prevent potential serious injuries or fatalities. The initiative also serves to raise public awareness about the gravity of driving under the influence.
Funded as part of a grant awarded by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission for DWI Enforcement, the sobriety checkpoint underscores the commitment of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office to maintaining a secure road environment. Motorists are strongly encouraged to report any suspected impaired drivers to law enforcement, supporting the campaign “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
The Bossier Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant 24/7 and can be reached at 318-965-2203. Let’s all contribute to safer roads by staying informed and responsible behind the wheel.
Stay safe and drive sober!
