DDA seeks a new Executive Director

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is in search of a dynamic leader to fill the shoes of the departed Executive Director, Liz Swaine. Spearheaded by DDA Chairman Michael Corbin, a dedicated search committee has been formed to identify the next visionary leader who will guide the DDA and the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation (DSDC).

The ideal candidate will need a diverse set of skills, including strong communication abilities and various talents to address the challenges faced by Downtown Shreveport. As the DDA navigates issues like changes in traditional office work, homelessness, and declining commercial space occupancy, the new Executive Director must swiftly build relationships with key stakeholders and effectively communicate with public officials, downtown stakeholders, and other relevant bodies.

Beyond the typical 9-to-5 workday, the Executive Director role demands flexibility for after-hours and weekend events, as well as responding to inquiries from the public and officials. Downtown Shreveport, a vibrant mix of office, retail, residential, and entertainment businesses, requires a leader who can champion its diverse interests.

For those interested in contributing to the future of Downtown Shreveport, details about the application process and additional information can be found on the DDA’s website. Applications can be submitted to edsearch@downtownshreveport.com.
