Shreveport firefighters rescue dogs in Southern Hills house fire

Shreveport firefighters rescued two dogs from a house fire in the Southern Hills neighborhood on Sunday. The blaze at the single-story dwelling on Pine Grove Street was reported at 5:50 p.m. Upon arrival at 5:56 p.m., firefighters battled heavy smoke and controlled the fire by 6:34 p.m. No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
