On November 18, at approximately 9 p.m., Shreveport police officers responded to a report of sexual assault at an address in the 400 block of E. 79th Street. Upon arrival, officers initiated an investigation into the alleged incident.

The suspect, identified as Kalin Scott, 27 years of age, was accused of attempting to rape an elderly female at the mentioned location. Following a thorough investigation, Scott was apprehended and subsequently charged with one count of attempted first-degree rape.

The accusations suggest that Scott, by use of force, attempted to commit sexual assault against a person aged 65 years or older. Our agency is diligently working to ensure justice is served in this matter.

Kalin Scott is currently in custody, and further legal proceedings will follow as the case progresses through the criminal justice system. We urge anyone with additional information related to this case to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
