Northwood will host its second non-district football game of the season when Wossman makes the trek from Monroe to Jerry Burton Stadium.
The Falcons will play for their first win after dropping the season opener to Benton 28-26. The Wildcats won their season opener, defeating Booker T. Washington 42-0 at home.
BTW will travel to Alexandria to play Bolton and North Caddo is on the road to Springhill and plays North Webster. All four teams are looking for a first win on the season.

Notable: Last year’s shutout of the Wildcats was the first of two on the season for Northwood. The Falcons have had two shutouts each of the last three seasons … It is the only time they have shutout Wossman in 13 games. The Wildcats shut out the Falcons the first four times the schools played each other and have six total in the series.

Notable: BTW began the 2023 season the same way it ended 2022, with a shutout loss … it was the second straight year Wossman dealt the Lions a season opening defeat … The Lions came back in last season’s loss after trailing 39-28, scoring to pull within three but couldn’t get over the hump.
