Bossier Parish will be a little quieter than usual for a Friday night during football season with just one game scheduled locally, at Parkway’s Preston Crownover Stadium.
The Panthers will host Red River from Coushatta. It will be only the second meeting between the two schools.
Three of the road games will be matchups of undefeated teams as Airline travels to Union Parish, Benton is at Texarkana Texas to play Texas High and Bossier is at Glenbrook.
Haughton tries to stay undefeated at LaGrange in Lake Charles.

Notable: Parkway used its ground game to put away Minden. Antonio Gladney ran for 266 yards on 23 carries and four touchdowns and was supported by C.J. Dudley’s 144 yards on 18 carries and a score … The Panthers controlled the ball the final eight minutes of the game with 14 running plays. Dudley kept the drive going with an 18-yard run on third-and-17 … The 41 points allowed were the most by an opponent in a game won by the Panthers since 2016 when they defeated Lufkin 69-54 in the Battle on the Border … Both teams combined to score 57 points in the first half and 27 the second half, six in the fourth quarter by Parkway.

After committing eight turnovers in last year’s loss, the Vikings took advantage of Griffin miscues to score 33 third-quarter points to erase a two-touchdown deficit … Quarterback Ben Taylor was 32-of-46 for 315 yards and four touchdowns … Kenny Darby led the receiving corps with 10 receptions for 186 yards and two scores … The Vikings won the first three in the series with two of those being shutouts.

Devontay Moss added 134 yards and two scores. Second quarter scoring runs by Moss (39 yards) and Turner (70) put the Bucs ahead to stay after they trailed 14-13 … The season opening win was the 13th straight for Haughton and 21st in the last 22.
