The Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will hold a Hunter Safety Education Field Day course for hunters seeking to acquire their state certification, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

The course will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 5-9 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Training Academy, located at 15639 Hwy. 1 in Shreveport.

All field day participants must first complete the online portion of the hunter safety course offered through the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Participants are asked to print, sign, and bring proof of online course completion to the field day course.
