Bossier High recently dedicated the Bobby Joe “Hurricane” Howell Weight Room in a ceremony that was attended by former Bossier High players, alumni and family, including Howell’s widow, Flora Howell.
Hearing of the Bearkats’ need for a revamped weight room, she decided to honor her late husband’s reputation of generosity by donating to the cause. Several other contributions have been made that will help with the weight room and other cosmetic improvements around campus.
