JOURNAL STAFF
Benton Senior Logan Smith headed up the District 1, Division II boys soccer All-District team by being named the Overall Most Valuable Player on the team selected by the league coaches.
Teammate Dayne Reed, also a senior, was selected at the Defensive MVP and Parkway senior Maximus Holt the Offensive MVP. Benton won the district with a 5-0 record, one game ahead of runner-up Parkway (4-1).
Northwood coach Jacob Maniero was named the district Coach of the Year after leading the Falcons to a 3-3 district mark and 14-8-2 overall.
