JOURNAL STAFF
Byrd and Alexandria Senior High finished atop the District 1, Division I standings and both schools swept the league’s top honors on the 2021-22 All-District team selected by the league coaches.
The Yellow Jackets Andrew Stuart, a senior, was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player and sophomore Matthew Booras was selected the Defensive MVP. Noor Asa, a senior at ASH, was picked as the Overall Most Valuable Player and his coach Sons Pathoumthong was named the Coach of the Year.
Byrd won the league with a 8-0 record and ASH was just a game behind at 7-1.
