Gators continue mastery of 1-5A opponents with defeat of Parkway

Captain Shreve continued its roll through District 1-5A with a 71-39 win over Parkway in The Swamp Tuesday.

It was the Gators’ sixth straight win and moved their overall record to 22-5 and district leading record to 10-1.

A trio of seniors led Shreve as Davieon Coleman scored 13 points, Christan Ford had 12 and Kyron Reed 11. Reed, who leads the team with a 12.1 points per game average, recorded his fifth consecutive game in double-figures.

AIRLINE 54, BYRD 42: At Byrd, the Vikings improve to 14-8 overall and 8-3 in 1-5A as A.J. Coleman tossed in 14, Trevon Jackson 13 and Colby O’glee 12.

NATCHITOCHES CENTRAL 48, HAUGHTON 37: At Haughton, the Chiefs remain in second place in District 1-5A at 9-2 and improve to 19-5 overall as Xavier Hicks scored 15 and Devin Helaire 14.

BTW 72, NORTH DESOTO 18: Jacobee Jackson and Kentrell Smith both had 12 for host Lions, while Calvin Collins added 11. BTW improves to 20-8, 7-3.

BOSSIER 75, GREEN OAKS 47: The Bearkats improved to 22-6, 7-0 as Marquis Harris tossed in 13 points and Tahj Roots 10. The Giants drop to 9-16, 2-4.

MENARD 68, LOYOLA 57: At Alexandria, the Eagles outscored LCP 32-20 in the fourth quarter for the non-district win. The Flyers (10-16) got 20 points from Jacob Lafitte and Tray Taylor added 11. Menard (15-14) was led by Daylen Turnre’s game-high 29 points and Ayden Warren had another 26.

NORTH CADDO 81, LAKESIDE 45: The Titans remained unbeaten in District 1-2A at 4-0 with the win and improve to 11-13 overall.

CALVARY 73, PLAIN DEALING 31: The Cavaliers increased their win streak to nine games with the 1-1A win at home. Every player scored in the win to move their overall mark to 17-7 and league mark to 5-0.
