The final week of the regular season for girls basketball has teams in three of the five area districts still battling for a chance at the league titles.
Parkway clinched the 1-5A title last week by defeating Southwood and Huntington in 1-4A with a win over Booker T. Washington.
Mansfield in 1-3A is assured at least a tie for the title with a 6-0 record. Loyola is 4-2 and will host the Wolverines Friday in the regular season finale. Mansfield (16-5 overall) is at North Webster (3-14, 0-4) Tuesday.
District 1-2A leader Jonesboro-Hodge (3-0) is one game ahead of second place North Caddo (2-1) with a date to play at the Titans Friday. The Tigers host D’Arbonne Woods 2-12, 1-2) Tuesday.
Arcadia (4-0) is the lone undefeated team in 1-1A but Homer (5-1) is on its heels. The Hornets host Ringgold (2-20, 0-3) Tuesday and plays at Lincoln Prep (3-16, 1-3) Friday. Homer’s lone scheduled district game is at Haynesville (8-15, 2-2) Friday.
Benton will play at Southwood with a shot at tying the Lady Cowboys for second place in 1-5A with a win. Both teams sport 20-9 overall records and the Lady Cowboys at 8-4 in the district the Lady Tigers at 7-5.
Airline, at 6-6 in 1-5A, is in fourth place and the fourth team in the league with 20 wins overall at 20-12. The Lady Vikes, with a power ranking of 17, play at Byrd (11-14, 0-12) with a first-round home playoff spot on the line.
Natchitoches Central (13-13, 5-7) travels to Haughton (15-11, 5-7) with the winner moving up to fifth place in 1-5A.
League champion Parkway (26-2, 12-0) will make the trek across the river to face Captain Shreve (13–14, 5-7).
Booker T. Washington, the second place team in 1-4A at 8-2, and 20-11 overall will welcome North DeSoto (8-17, 2-7) to the Lions Den.
Woodlawn (14-13, 5-5) hosts Northwood (15-13, 5-4) with third place on the line in 1-4A.
Minden, at 4-5 in district 1-4A, has a shot at third place with games at Evangel (0-15, 0-9) Tuesday and Huntington (15-6, 10-0) Friday.
Calvary (7-9, 1-3) will host Plain Dealing (10-14, 2-2) Tuesday, Haynesville Thursday and on the road at Ringgold Friday.
