Loyola girls stay unbeaten in 1-3A with defeat of North Webster

Loyola remained unbeaten atop District 1-3A with a 41-23 win over North Webster at home Tuesday night.

Tiffany Siharath had six 3-pointers on the way to 22 points to lead the Flyers, who jumped out to a 20-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The Flyers are now 10-9 overall and have won six straight. Loyola is 3-0 in District 1-3A.

SOUTHWOOD 56, NATCHITOCHES CENTRAL 46: Jermesha Frierson had 39 points, including 15 of 19 free throws, to lead Southwood (16-8, 4-3). Natchitoches Central falls to 13-10 overall and 3-4 in District 1-5A got 22 points from Tyrenisha Bowers.

AIRLINE 49, CAPTAIN SHREVE 45: The Vikings outscored the Gators 20-14 in the fourth quarter to get the district win. Kori Rice led Airline (19-8 5-2) with 18 points and Kayla Hampton tossed in 15. Shreve (10-8, 3-4) got a game-high 20 points from Carley Hamilton while Zoe Manning scored 13.

HAUGHTON 50, BENTON 48: The host Lady Bucs picked up their second big win in a row in upending the Lady Tigers. Haughton improved to 13-8, 3-4. Benton (16-8, 3-4) got 17 points from Jada Stewart and Marissa Schloth had 12.

PARKWAY 67, BYRD 16: At Byrd, the Lady Panthers continue to roll through District 1-5A to improve to 7-0 in the league and 22-2 overall. The Lady Jackets remain winless in 1-5A at 0-7 and fell to 11-8 overall.

HUNTINGTON 74, MINDEN 42: The Lady Raiders won their fourth straight with the win on the road to improve to 10-6 overall and a perfect 5-0 in District 1-4A. Minden falls to 8-12 overall and 3-2 in 1-4A.

BTW 48, (16-10, 4-1) WOODLAWN 42: At Woodlawn, the Lady Lions (17-10, 5-1) overcame the 23 points from the Lady Knights Tarellya Baber to get the District 1-4A win. Trinity Stewart led BTW with 12 points and Lakaria Harris added 10. Woodlawn falls to 10-11, 1-4.

GREEN OAKS 49, LAKESIDE 38: The Lady Giants picked up their second win of the season in 19 tries while Lakeside falls to 1-12.
