
Natchitoches Central kept pace with Captain Shreve in District 1-5A with a 60-30 defeat of Benton in Natchitoches. The Chiefs (3-0, 13-3) again were led by Daylin Davis’ 15 points and 9 rebounds, Devin Helaire added 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists and Caylin Demars poured in 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Benton dropped to 2-2 in district and 8-15 overall.
AIRLINE 57, PARKWAY 48: The Vikings picked up their second District 1-5A win on the season in three games and improved to 8-6 overall as Trevon Jackson led the way with 16 points, AJ Coleman scored 13 and Cameron Walker tallied 11.
WOODLAWN 66, NORTH DESOTO 39: The Knights evened their District 1-4A record at 1-1 and improved to 14-5 overall as Donovan Seamster scored 15 points, dealt out 6 assists and had 6 steals. Chrishy Jones scored 14 points and Brandon Henderson added 12.
HUNTINGTON 70, BTW 53: The Raiders stayed unbeaten in 1-4A play at 3-0 and improved to 11-3 overall with the win. BTW (0-1, 1-46) was led by JaCobee Jackson’s 21 points and Nick Dyer added 13.
BOSSIER 83, NORTH WEBSTER 33: The Bearkats opened District 1-3A play with the win and moved to 14-5 overall as Joseph Manning poured in 21 points.
GIRLS
CAPTAIN SHREVE 59, BYRD 28: Zoe Manning scored 20 points and Corley Hamilton added 16 as the Gators (3-2, 10-5) outscored Byrd in every quarter. Shreve had six 3-pointers, including four by Hamilton. Janiya Vanderpool led Byrd (0-5, 11-7) with 16 points. The Yellow Jackets didn’t help themselves at the free throw line, making just 3 of 16.
PARKWAY 69, AIRLINE 28: Mikaylah Williams paced the Panthers (6-0 in 1-5A, 18-1) with 22 points. The Vikings slipped to 3-3, 17-9 with the loss.
NATCHITOCHES CENTRAL 43, BENTON 40: The Tigers (2-3 in 1-5A, 14-7 overall) were led by Marissa Schloth’s 13 points and Ella Kate Malley and Riley Grace Stanford both had 10. Natchitoches improved its record to 3-2 in District 1-5A and 11-8 overall.
WOODLAWN 60, NORTH DESOTO 37: The Knights (1-1 in 1-4A, 10-8 overall) got a big night from Tarellya Baber with 32 points and Kristine Brooks added 17. The Griffins (1-3, 5-12) were led by Briauna Bussey’s 15 points.
