Bossier Parish shines green for veterans

Bossier Parish is joining communities across the country in Operation Green Light for Veterans by lighting parish buildings green from November 4-11 in recognition of local veterans and their families.

Led by the National Association of Counties, the initiative raises awareness of the challenges veterans face and encourages communities to show their support. Residents, businesses, and organizations can participate by replacing one light with a green bulb as a simple but meaningful sign of appreciation.

“Our veterans and their families have sacrificed so much in service to our country,” said Parish Administrator Dr. Ken Ward. “I encourage every resident to join us by shining a green light as a visible sign of gratitude and support.”

Residents are also encouraged to share photos of their green lights on social media using #OperationGreenLight and learn more through the NACo website.
