Shreveport Police have arrested Patrick Lincoln, 44, on a charge of Second Degree Murder following the fatal stabbing of his sister, Melanie Lincoln, 46.

On November 2, 2026, at approximately 10:36 p.m., officers responded to a reported stabbing at 4316 Clingman Drive. Officers located Melanie inside the residence suffering from a stab wound to her neck. Shreveport Fire Department personnel transported her to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died from those injuries.

A witness identified Patrick Lincoln as the person who stabbed her. Violent Crimes investigators and Crime Scene personnel responded, documented the scene, and collected evidence. Additional evidence was recovered during a search of the residence conducted pursuant to a search warrant.

Based on witness statements and physical evidence, Patrick Lincoln was charged with one count of Second Degree Murder.
