Last week, Bossier’s Public Utilities team, Waggoner Engineering, and City of Bossier City staff welcomed leaders from the American Water Works Association (AWWA) for a tour of the city’s Water Treatment Plant.

Sometimes, the public turns on the faucet without giving a second thought to everything that happens before that water reaches homes. This tour was a great reminder of just how much work, knowledge, and dedication goes into making sure the community has clean, reliable water.

From constant monitoring and strict regulations to the maintenance and treatment processes that happen every single day, keeping the water safe is no small task.
