Captain Shreve High School senior Ashton Pouncy has been named a semifinalist for the 2027 Coca-Cola Scholars Program, earning recognition as one of the nation’s top student applicants.

According to Caddo Parish Public Schools, Pouncy is the only student from Caddo Parish and one of just nine students in Louisiana to receive the semifinalist distinction.

Only approximately 1% of applicants advance to the semifinalist stage of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program, placing Pouncy among a select group of students nationwide.

Caddo Parish Public Schools congratulated Pouncy on her achievement and expressed support as she advances through the scholarship selection process.
