Early voting for upcoming election opens next week across Caddo and Bossier Parishes

Early voting for Louisiana’s upcoming election officially begins next week, offering registered voters across Caddo and Bossier parishes the opportunity to cast ballots ahead of Election Day.

Both jurisdictions utilize multiple in-person early voting sites to accommodate regional turnout across Northwest Louisiana. Registered voters may cast an early ballot at any designated early voting location within their parish of residence:

  • Caddo Parish Voters: Early voting facilities include the Registrar of Voters office in downtown Shreveport, as well as an additional branch location at the Shreve Memorial Library Hamilton/South Branch.
  • Bossier Parish Voters: Early voting facilities include the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton, alongside an additional branch site located at the former Bossier Central Library facility in Bossier City.

Election administrators remind voters that while early voting allows residents to choose from designated early voting sites within their home parish, Election Day operates under different guidelines. On Election Day, voters must cast their ballots strictly at their assigned neighborhood precinct.

Residents can check their voter registration status, view customized sample ballots, and confirm operating schedules or precinct assignments through the Louisiana Secretary of State Voter Portal or by downloading the free GeauxVote Mobile smartphone app. Local election notices can also be viewed via the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters Portal and the Bossier Parish Government Registrar of Voters Department.
