South Bossier Fire District #2 crews responded to multiple calls over the weekend.

On Saturday, crews responded to a vehicle fire, multiple EMS calls and a grass fire that spread to a camper trailer.

Sunday morning started with a structure fire that damaged two homes, followed by more EMS calls. The weekend ended with a grass fire that threatened nearby structures.

The fire district is actively looking for volunteers. Those interested in serving the community can visit Station #1 at 3551 Highway 527 in Elm Grove on a Tuesday night. Training begins at 1800.
