Twelve students taking American Sign Language through the Bossier Schools Distance Learning Program recently visited the Deaf Action Center in Shreveport for a Bingo and spaghetti lunch.

The event gave students an opportunity to use their language skills and knowledge of Deaf culture in a real-world setting. Students played bingo and conversed with members of the Deaf community, gaining a deeper understanding, confidence and appreciation for ASL and the culture surrounding it.
