Caddo Fire District 4 places new Brush 414 into service

Caddo Fire District 4 has placed a new Brush 414 into service, adding a new Ford F-550 built for grass and brush firefighting.

Brush 414 allows crews to actively fight fires from inside the truck’s cab, providing firefighters with a safer and more effective way to operate during fast-moving grass fires, particularly along busy highways and major roadways.

According to Caddo Fire District 4, the truck is the largest brush apparatus of its kind in Northwest Louisiana.

On its first day in service, Brush 414 responded to multiple calls for service and went to work protecting the community.

Caddo Fire District 4 thanked district residents for their continued support, which allows the department to invest in modern equipment, advanced technology and tools for firefighters.

The department said Brush 414 is another step forward in its commitment to being prepared for what comes next.
