Score one, two actually, for the small schools.

After impressive victories over District 1-5A foes, Class 2A Calvary and 3A Loyola are atop the first Shreveport-Bossier Journal high school football rankings for this season.

Four veteran sports media members who cover local high school football rank their top 10 teams each week during the regular season. Can’t discard jamboree results in consideration, but four quarters last week defined the results in this week’s poll. Rankings continue through the end of the regular season.
