On August 30, Shreveport Police responded to a home invasion in the 2300 block of Merriweather Road.

When officers arrived, Leah Petty was allegedly fighting another female outside the residence. As officers moved in to break up the fight, Petty reportedly threw a dumbbell at an officer.

She was taken into custody, and investigators later determined she had allegedly entered the victim’s residence without permission and committed a battery during the family-related incident.

Petty was charged with Home Invasion, Aggravated Assault Upon a Peace Officer, and Simple Battery.
