Thursday night’s jamboree matchups were not full games, but the offenses were full throttle.
Arch-rivals Captain Shreve and Byrd combined for 70 points in two quarters. Huntington and Northwood topped that with a 78-point eruption in what would be half a regulation game.
Tonight, local jamborees with three games each involving local teams are being played at Independence Stadium and Airline’s M.D. Ray Stadium in the annual Bossier Lions Club event.
Loyola and Calvary make longer bus rides out of town for their competitions.
The regular season kicks off with two games next Thursday and a full slate next Friday, highlighted by the two-day Stars & Stripes Border Classic at Independence Stadium including Calvary, Huntington, Parkway and Evangel.
