Bossier Parish Restroom Ordinance Public Hearing Set for Tuesday
The Bossier Parish Police Jury holds its public hearing Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton on a proposed ordinance that would prohibit transgender individuals from using parish-owned public restrooms corresponding with their gender identity. The hearing begins at 9 a.m. Residents who wish to comment may attend in person. No final vote is expected at the hearing. The ordinance, which passed the Police Jury unanimously on July 15, covers parish libraries, parks, courthouses, and other public facilities.
NSU College of Business Hosts Cybersecurity Lunch and Learn in Bossier City
Northwestern State University’s College of Business and Technology will host a free community lunch and learn session on cybersecurity essentials for small businesses on Nov. 16 at the Bossier Central Library, 7204 Hutchison Drive in Bossier City.
