
Aumpai Attapap Meekins, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born in Thailand on September 10, 1944.
Aumpai was a loving and caring wife, a kindhearted woman, and someone who truly loved life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making everyone around her laugh. She especially enjoyed cooking and sharing her love through the meals she prepared for family and friends. Aumpai loved people and never met a stranger. Her warm heart, joyful spirit, and caring nature touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Aumpai believed deeply in Jesus Christ and loved sharing her faith with others. She was baptized in 1984 at Chandler Acres Baptist Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was never shy about witnessing to others about the love of Jesus.
Aumpai was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, William Edward Meekins, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories; as well as numerous family members and friends who will forever remember her loving heart and joyful spirit.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Osborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Nanny Jr., Richard Peters, Margaret Ann Peters, and Harold T. Meekins Jr.
Aumpai will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, kindness, love for others, and unwavering faith will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She truly lived a life filled with love, and her memory will be cherished forever.
