The City of Bossier City recognized the family of Captain Louis Vernon Landry, M.D., during a presentation at VFW Post 4588.

The family was presented with the Bronze Medal, honoring Landry’s distinguished service, sacrifice and dedication to the nation.

The city said Landry’s commitment to serving the country represented the best of the American spirit and recognized his service alongside his family and fellow veterans.
