Students from across Caddo Parish participated in the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Safety Academy throughout the month of July, gaining hands-on experience, developing leadership skills, and exploring careers in law enforcement.
During the academy, participants received instruction in personal safety, emergency response, criminal investigations, drone technology, K-9 operations, firearm safety, crime scene processing, and other specialized skills used by deputies. Students also learned about teamwork, communication, leadership, and service.
The academy provided opportunities for participants to work alongside deputies, investigators, and public safety professionals, helping them gain a greater understanding of the responsibilities involved in protecting a community.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said programs like the Law Enforcement Safety Academy are an investment in the future by educating and mentoring young people while strengthening relationships within the community.
The sheriff’s office congratulated the July 2026 Law Enforcement Safety Academy graduating class on completing the program.
The office also thanked Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation for providing inflatable fun stations for the academy’s wrap-up party and for its continued support of parish programs.
