Roma Italian Bistro in Shreveport has issued a statement addressing social media discussion surrounding a Louisiana Department of Health inspection report from May 2025 that recently resurfaced online.

According to the restaurant, the inspection referenced in the article took place in the spring of 2025. Roma said it took the findings seriously, corrected the issues identified during the inspection and has continued serving the Shreveport community.

The restaurant also shared details from its most recent Louisiana Department of Health inspection conducted June 5, 2026. According to Roma, all three critical violations identified during that inspection were corrected while the inspector was on site. The report also included several non-critical maintenance items requiring ongoing attention.

Roma said it shared the inspection report so customers could review it themselves, adding that food safety is an ongoing responsibility and that it remains committed to maintaining the standards expected by the Louisiana Department of Health and its customers.

The restaurant also thanked the community for its continued trust and support, stating it remains committed to serving customers with safety, accountability and transparency.
