The Bossier Parish Highway Department will be closing a section of Winfield Road next week to take care of a drainage issue and replace a culvert.

The closure will be about 0.6 miles west of Coastal Drive. Work is scheduled to start Monday, July 20, and wrap up by Wednesday, July 22, weather permitting.

During the closure, local access will still be available:

• If you’re at 1146 Winfield Road or lower, you’ll need to come in from the west side

• If you’re at 1193 Winfield Road or higher, you’ll need to come in from the east side

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible, take another route, and allow a little extra time. As always, please slow down and watch for crews and equipment working on the roadway.
