Caddo Commission recognizes individuals, organizations for outstanding achievements

The Caddo Commission recognized several individuals and organizations during its meeting July 9 with special resolutions honoring their achievements and contributions to Caddo Parish.

Those recognized included:

  • Shreveport Police Department Corporals Darryl Council and Corey Sullivan for being recognized by MADD as Louisiana’s No. 1 and No. 2 DWI Enforcement Officers and for their commitment to keeping the state’s roads safe.
  • FCOII Monica Cooper of the Shreveport Fire Department for being named the 2026 Louisiana EMS Telecommunicator of the Year for her service and dedication to public safety.
  • Shreveport Fire for earning first place at the 2026 Louisiana National Registered Emergency Medical Technician Simulations War Competition.
  • The students and coordinators of the Southern University at Shreveport Dual Enrollment Program for their dedication to academic excellence and commitment to building a bright future.
  • Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana for celebrating 100 years of changing lives, strengthening the community and creating opportunities through the power of work.

The commission congratulated each of the recipients for their accomplishments.
