Tuesday deadline: Bossier Parish community time capsule submissions

Bossier Parish residents have until Tuesday, June 23, to submit items for the 2026 Community Time Capsule, an initiative that will preserve a snapshot of local life for future generations.

Organized by Keep Bossier Beautiful, the time capsule will remain sealed until 2076, when it is scheduled to be reopened during the nation’s 300th anniversary celebration.

Residents of all ages are invited to contribute letters to future generations, photographs, children’s artwork, essays, poems, favorite memories and family recipes.

Submissions may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office Substation, located at 2510 Viking Drive. Items may also be submitted by email to lbryan@keepbossierbeautiful.com.

The project gives residents an opportunity to document what life in Bossier Parish is like in 2026 and share those memories with people who will open the capsule 50 years from now.
