The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office held a swearing-in ceremony this morning at the Sheriff’s Conference Room inside the Bossier Sheriff’s Command Center in Plain Dealing, where Sheriff Julian Whittington administered the Oath of Affirmation to three new deputies.
Deputies Ronald Appling, Billiyah O’Neal, and Mya Williams officially joined the agency and will begin their careers assigned to one of the Sheriff’s Office correctional facilities. Sheriff Whittington welcomed the new deputies and noted that each has chosen a path of public service as they begin their work with the department.
In addition to welcoming new personnel, the Sheriff’s Office also announced two internal promotions. Deputy Holly Moreau has been promoted to Detective and reassigned from the Patrol Division. Deputy Revis Gay has also been promoted to Detective and will serve as a Digital Forensics Investigator, transitioning from the School Resource Officer Unit.
Sheriff Whittington said the promotions reflect dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, adding that both detectives have consistently demonstrated those qualities throughout their service.
The Sheriff’s Office congratulated the new deputies and newly promoted detectives and said it looks forward to their continued service to Bossier Parish.
