RUSTON – Louisiana Tech student-athletes continued to raise the standard in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, highlighted by a department 3.42 GPA for the spring quarter, the highest term GPA ever recorded by Tech athletics.

For the full academic year, Bulldog student-athletes posted an overall department GPA of 3.37 while producing 699 Athletics Director’s Honor Roll selections and 33 graduates.

Academic success was widespread across the department as 13 of the university’s 14 athletic programs recorded a team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the term.  Bowling led all programs with a 3.80 GPA, the second-highest mark in school history for the program.  Golf (3.69) and women’s basketball (3.65) each established new program records.

Five other programs – women’s cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball – also reached a term GPA of at least a 3.5 for the spring.

A total of 230 Bulldogs and Lady Techsters earned placement on the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll by achieving a term GPA of 3.00 or better.  Among those honorees, 193 student-athletes received additional academic distinction, including 134 Dean’s List selections (3.50-3.85 GPA) and 59 President’s List honorees with GPAs of 3.85 or higher.
