The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office announced that the Caddo Correctional Center has received the 2026 Connected Community Tyler Excellence Award, recognizing the facility’s efforts in innovation, safety, and operational efficiency.

According to the sheriff’s office, the recognition was awarded following the implementation of an integrated jail management system designed to improve operations within the correctional facility.

Officials said the upgraded system has enhanced data accuracy, streamlined booking procedures, improved inmate management processes, and strengthened communication between jail personnel and law enforcement agencies.

The sheriff’s office noted that the award reflects the commitment of correctional staff and leadership to maintaining a safer and more efficient correctional environment while continuing to serve the residents of Caddo Parish.

Department leaders also thanked personnel for their continued dedication and daily efforts in supporting the operation of the correctional center.
