Seven Shreveport-Bossier softball teams won first-round LHSAA playoff games over the weekend to advance to the regional round.

Two local baseball teams advanced out of best-of-3 first-round weekend playoff series. Haughton pulled off a pair of one-run decisions on the road in Lafayette as the No. 18 Bucs beat the 15^th-seeded Southside Sharks.
